Abstract:

With the cooperation of The University of Lethbridge, Reginald Bibby conducted a national survey, "Project 2000," that yieled detailed information about religion in Canada. Bibby’s work was based on a series of national surveys that he has conducted for the past 25 years. His previous efforts generated comprehensive information on the nature, sources, trends, and consequences of religion in Canada. Bibby's intent of "Project 2000" was to probe more deeply into attitudes about religious identity and affiliation of Canadians. He conducted two surveys, one youth and one adult. As a result of his detailed analysis of "Project 2000," Bibby published three books including; “Canada’s Teens,” “Restless Gods,” and “Soul Searching the Millennial Generation.”
