The Graduate Education of Future Theological Faculties: A Catholic Perspective

McBrien, Richard P. "The Graduate Education of Future Theological Faculties: A Catholic Perspective," Theological Education 28, no. 1 (Autumn 1991): 90-94.
Abstract:

McBrien worries about two trends affecting the education of Catholic theologians today: first, that while most are educated in contexts where Protestant religious thought is the norm they likely will teach in Catholic institutions; and second, that the quality of doctoral programs in most Roman Catholic institutions is not rising (and may be declining).
