Abstract:

Donald Luidens and Roger Nemeth provide a thorough explanation of levels of religious giving in the Reformed Church in America (RCA). Their article includes their methodology and findings of an in-depth questionnaire of members of the RCA. Luidens and Nemeth also include several tables and charts that represent their findings. These graphs suggest that family income and level of involvement in congregational life were the strongest predictors of giving and that conservative beliefs were associated with higher giving. Luidens and Nemeth conclude their article by speculating on the causes of the afore conclusions and affirm the need for more research to be done.
