Abstract:

Inneraction is a set of three adult education video/study guide packages: "Cultural Blessings: A celebration of North American spiritualities." Each session highlights the continent's unique racial, cultural and spiritual diversity. The film focuses on how a variety of gifts and faith perspectives can enrich not only society but the individual as well. The sessions are enhanced by the views of people such as Thea Bowman, Jos Hobday, Henry Greenidge, Margo LeBert, and Richard Montes. "Gospel Attitudes": Rooted in the Beatitudes." These sessions focus on perennial gospel questions and attitudes that underlie good mental, emotional and spiritual health. Topics include the purpose of life, coping with suffering and the call to justice. Richard Rohr, Gerald May, Patricia Livingston and Mary Luke Tobin share what they have seen and heard as they have tried to help others live the gospel. "Life Crossroads" is based on insights from the Christian spiritual traditions and contemporary social sciences and portrays life as an ongoing process of growth and development. The Good News is heard as an invitation to face more confidently life's transitions and challenges. James Fowler, Dolores Curran, CEvelyn and James Whitehead and Joseph Donders are featured in interviews developed for these sessions. (MH)
