Abstract:

Discipleship of Nonviolence guids small Christian community members through seven sessions on violence in contemporary society, how Jesus faced violence, what the US bishops have said about violence, and how participants can live a life of nonviolent discipleship. The booklet closes with a listing of organizations committed to nonviolence, along with a short bibliography. As part of RENEW International’s Impact Series, the booklet follows the Social Inquiry Approach of “observe, judge, and act,” leading participants in a process of prayerful reflection, fruitful sharing and concrete actions.
