Contextualization and Theological Education

Citation:
Stackhouse, Max L. "Contextualization and Theological Education," Theological Education 23 (Autumn 1986):67-82.
Abstract:

Stackhouse contends that contextualization has marked Christianity since its inception and argues that contemporary forms of contextualization -- social scientific analysis, the primacy of personal experience, and liberation theology -- too easily reduce the transcontextual principles of God's truth and justice to particular manifestations of the human condition.
