Abstract:

As a means to inform aspects of the Canadian Evangelical Experience, Phyllis Airhart published an article concerning Canadian Methodists as Evangelicals. Airhart addresses the relationship between Methodists as Evangelicals and examines the history and growth of Canadian Methodism and how the idea of "evangelical" has come to symbolize different things for Methodists. Airhart concludes that the decades between 1884 and 1925 were complex and eventful ones for Canadian Methodists because of the broader reorganizing process within Protestantism.
